Fruit of The Spirit
Galatians 5:22-23
"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and temperance..."
Have you ever wondered why they’re called the ‘fruit’ of the spirit? Why not ‘rewards’ or ‘benefits’? I think they’re called ‘fruit’ because fruit has a time of seeding, growth, and harvest. At some point then, that fruit that was first a seed then becomes a plump fruit ready to harvest. Our ripe fruit contains seeds to plant into the lives of others. The Fruit of the Spirit is more than a list of qualities; it’s the evidence of a transformed heart and a life led by the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5 highlights the struggle between the flesh, which pulls us toward destructive and dishonoring behaviors, and the Spirit, which produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and temperance. These aren’t just character traits—they’re also actions to live out daily.
That ‘love’ you’ve grown is meant to spur you on to acts of love in the lives of others. Whatever the fruit is you’re seeing grow in your life, use it to sow into others. When you do, it’s a divine deposit that will help it grow in them too.
Now, every Lemon Bliss flavor on our menu connects with a Fruit of the Spirit, we hope you enjoy reading each life lesson on each flavor and be encouraged to live out a life full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and temperance.
