Strawberry Joy Bliss

It’s rare to meet someone who hates strawberries; it is an all-time favorite fruit and flavor for many people; from its sweet and yummy taste, a bowl of strawberries can do you some good.

Its benefits include:

โ€‹

โ€‹

๐Ÿ“ Vitamin C and antioxidants, which can help your body fight off sickness.

โ€‹

๐Ÿ“Flavonoids that may help slow age-related memory loss.

โ€‹

๐Ÿ“Nutrients that can help encourage collagen production, prevent wrinkles, help prevent heart disease and high blood pressure.

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

Also, strawberries can bring joy because of their smell, taste, and health benefits.

โ€‹

It reminds me of a verse found in Proverbs 17:22

“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

โ€‹

In many ways, we are witnessing people whose spirits have been crushed and whose bones are now dry. This idiom of having “dried bones” refers to the weight we feel when facing emotional hardship.  Discouragement, frustration, and anxiety weigh down the spirit.  It pulls at us.  Have you ever been so sad your bones ached?  That’s what the author of Proverbs 17:22 is talking about.

That’s why surrounding yourself with people who bring you joy is important: people who always get that laughter and joy out of you. Laughter releases a flurry of chemicals in our brains that change our entire outlook on life.  It’s medicinal to us. Hard times can cause us sometimes to feel like we have no purpose in life, and that kind of thinking can cause us to stress, worry, and believe that nothing will work out. But the beauty in finding joy in God is claiming His promises, like in Romans 8:28:

โ€‹

“And we know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who LOVE Him, who have been called according to His PURPOSE.”

โ€‹

So find joy in knowing that everything will always work out according to God’s plan for you.

Joy as sweet as a bowl of strawberries.
